I have a Skywatcher Skymax Telescope, along with a Canon DSLR and was wondering what adapters I need to connect them both.

Do I only need to get a Canon T Ring?

Is there anything else that is recommended?

It Depends what you want to do, I have a T-Ring which effectivley turns the Scope into a lens with whatever the focal length of the scope is, or you can get adapters that go in the eye piece mount so you can still use eyepieces.

That adaptor will give you a T-thread. So if you want to mount it as a slide in and clamp (like an eyepiece) into the focuser you'll need a T-adaptor too. If you can screw the T-thread ring directly into the focuser then you don't need the T-adaptor.

I don't use a T-adaptor with my camera as I screw my ATIK 383L/Titan (have T-threads native to the camera) directly into my filter wheel/OAG. If I use them in place of an eyepiece then I need the t-adaptor to give me the barrel that then gets clamped where the eyepiece would go.
