Slackware Install guide?

Hi guys,

Am after a minimal install guide. I followed this page: http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Slackware-Minimal_Install but it wouldn't boot. I installed lilo but strangely enough slackware installer didn't ask me configure it or where to install it to. I ran liloconfig from the CD but nothing happened and booting into the hard disk obviously didn't work.

It's a desktop PC that I am installing on. All I need to use is a web browser, E-mail through wireless.

What am I doing wrong?

What are the specs of the desktop?

Intel Pentium 4 Prescott 2.8Ghz @ 3Ghz
512M DDR
WD Raptor 36GB
Edimax 7728i wireless

Am planning on using gnome because I don't like KDE!

Those two aren't exactly the only Window Manager's available... have you looked at Puppy?

Well aware of that yes. I have looked at Puppylinux and didn't like it. I want a clean install of slackware...

If you're not used to Slack, it really is best to go for a full install the first time (or first two times) as it's not the easiest to get your head around.

In now installing slackware in Virtualbox, the install is a lot easier than Arch, will see what I think when it boots up!
