Slave drive not showing in windows

I'm a tad confused, just rebuilt my dad PC for him. And although the Slave drive is appearing fine in the Bios I can't see it in explorer when Windows XP has booted up.

Any suggestions?

Off the top of my head as im using win98 right now....

Right click My computer, manage. Half way down Disk Storage or something similar. Make sure the disk show up here along with the other disk and cd drive etc.
