Hi all.
I've installed Vista 64-bit and have started using the sleep function which I really quite like. I then overclocked my PC (now a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R and C2D 2140) and suddenly started having problems with black screens and no video on waking from sleep. It goes to sleep fine, no problems, but when I switch the power button again to wake from sleep it makes all the right noises, it's just there's no video on the screen. All the BIOS settings seem to be correct as the whole thing works perfectly when running at stock. This occurs even on a modest overclock and my chip is stable at 3GHz stock voltage.
The only solution is to switch the power off at the mains, at which point when restarted the BIOS settings are all back to default?!
Has anyone experienced this as I reckon there are 3 main possibilities:
- NVidia graphics drivers (using forceware 158.24)
- Motherboard drivers
- BIOS update required
