Anyone a sufferer of this?
I have all my life, and keep doing stranger and stranger things in my sleep..

I've tried to kill the missus a few times in my sleep (once tried throwing a 19" CRT at her, luckily it was plugged in)

I've climbed up 5ft above the floor on a wall of shelves

I've checked emails in my sleep, on my phone. I never do that.

I've moved my bed stuff into the living room and made a bed.

I've made a sandwich

Often sing away happily

Anyone else remotely as messed up as me?
I went to the doc, he said in medical school they were told to ignore it as it wasn't a real condition.
I live 30m from the sea, i'm scared i'll wake up swimming one day!

ah, don't say that!
but by looking, i have no symptoms.
stop scaring me.

and at certain sleep levels, you can act as awake as normal... so the heavy lifting thing is normal.

it's called parasomnias, and after researching, looks like it happens to a sizable population.. and there are worse cases than me (sleep sex, sleep murder)

Finally, a topic I can relate to. I suffer from Night Terrors (Violent Case of Sleep Walking)

I've done some STUPID things in my sleep, and some very dangerous, some which could have REALLY hurt my family.....

I've been to 4 different sleep clinics, I've had CT scans, etc etc :(

did anything ever help at all?
i'm really considering going to a sleep clinic..

i didn't want to mention it, but it's gone to a new level - one night last week, i pee'd in my wellington boot.

LOL....nice 1....

> Strangled my wife to a point she had brusing on her neck
> Gave her a black eye
> Bust her lip
> Smashed a hole thru our wall, which is quite hard
> Went into my son's room and opened his windows fully when it was windy and raining and then locked the door on him
> Went into my baby's room and started smacking the door which scared him a lot
> Fell down some stairs

You are my bloody hero.

But i can see myself heading in your direction! Though i do find i can kind of control it by not drinking alcohol, eating chocolate and cheese before sleep, and not smoking before sleep.

I've tested the above.
I'm yet to test what i'd do if i drank lots, ate lots and smoked lots before bed.

Perhaps a rampage/massacre? Perhaps build a new village in my sleep?

yeah, i do that as well, proper shouting and screaming, scared the hell out of my missus for a year.

after that, she got used to them!
crazy woman.
