Sleeping After Windows 8.1 Update

When downloading big files overnight i've always had my laptop set to turn the screen off after 20 mins and not go to sleep ever. I've updated my windows 8.1 with the new update but now after 20 mins my screen turns off but it also goes to sleep and i have to log back on with my password. In power options sleep is disabled, anyone know why this happens.

Hi,

Try this and see if it works for you.

Open the right sidebar and click on settings, then you should see change pc settings at the bottom, click Accounts and then find sign in options.

At the bottom of the screen you should see 'Password Policy' change it from the default settings of 15 minutes to never require a password.

That didn't help but i've downloaded some software called Caffeinated and that seems to help but it really suck when i set the options in power management to not sleep and it does.

Try this..

Set it to sleep in the options, click apply.

Then unset it and apply.
