I found this spot behind the racks in the server/comms room, underneath this shelf/table that that is quite comfortable. It can get a bit chilly and it is a bit noisy, but nothing like having a quick 30 min nap after lunch. :D

Anyone else have any hidden sleeping spots at work?

I probably could get away with it on the rare nightshifts or early on weekends, because I start at 6 and nobody gets in till 8 on weekends, but it wouldn't be worth it just in case there was a break in.

I have taken a nap at my desk before.

Used to be in this little back office with only 1 other person. Never got caught and did it quite often after lunch. Normally only 10mins though.

The other guy who worked in the office did it too sometimes.

I've actually nodded off on the loo before at work :o However that was after a 70+ hr week and was actually destroyed. Had a stag do to go to that weekend as well! Needless to say muchos coffee was consumed!

Haha... I could see that one ending badly xD Although after a 70+ week, I imagine your boss would be slightly forgiving if he caught you...

I fell asleep at my desk once.. I was ill and had drank a lot of Benylin (the drowsy kind) just before I went into work. I sat down at my desk and my eyes started to go. I think I ended up sleeping for about 30 minutes! Luckily I had my own office, I just hope no one came in to see me during that time, no one ever said anything though so I think I got away with it! :D

Well he would have to follow the male's toilet code of no talking to another man as soon as you cross the threshold of the toilet area!!! So it wouldn't have been an issue! ;)

I have actually slept at work a few times :(

Whilst working in the Uni over the summer I fell asleep at my microsope all the time. Just rest my eyes on the eye cups and snooze. It looked like I was working really hard until I started snoring. Then the lab technicians would wake me up :D

It's very good to have an afternoon nap, it should be more well known, just 30 minutes of sleep can make you work much more efficiently in the afternoon than if you didn't.

Aslong as it's in your break, then you should be able to.

I always find that a short nap makes me feel even more sleepy afterwards... particularly during the day.

I sometimes used to have a nap in the car at lunchtime when I drove into work. Nowhere to do it here except maybe the prayer room. The changing rooms and toilets don't appeal :D

In my old job, in the training rooms which I used to set up (and no one ever used), there were a tidy sleeping spot. I took the room over to use as a test room (there's an area around the corner in the room which is hidden behind a massive ASUS poster). Set up a couple of machines in there, and ended up making it a sleeping spot.

It had a vending machine full of the nicer drinks, and used to whittle away my hours there sleeping, playing counter strike on the servers I had set up (ran my own gaming company from within their walls - for the company of course).

Just used to take my works mobile in case anything important was happening! Good times.
