Sleeping Dogs Problem

Anyone having this issue?

recently swapped graphic cards from 5770 to 7850 and sleeping dogs hangs at the startup screen,if i leave it for 10-15mins it will carry on and load

tried everything,driver sweeper re installed game and steam still same issue,from what ive read its a common fault but no fix atm?

game played fine with the 5770 card

Ive had the game since release day and never once got past the Developers splash screen.

It crashes to desktop without any warnings or anything. Saints Row 3 does exactly the same for me. Money wasted lol.

I have exactly the same problem with a 7850. I have looked on the sleeping dogs forum and it seems to be common with the 7850. They don't appear to be interested in sorting it either, saying that I gave up looking a while ago, things may have happened to sort it.

Do you have the latest patch? 1.5 iirc

I got this problem prior to getting the latest update

im not sure,but its on steam wouldnt it update it automatically? ill check in a bit

Pretty sure mine was on 1.5, it solved issues for a lot of people, the 7850 club is still having troubles though

if you sit and wait 10-15 mins it unfreezes and loads up and plays fine,its just a pain having to wait

seems to be 7850 related,my 5770 had no trouble loading it up,either square or amd driver problem im guessing

It does, download and install the DLC high res texture pack, I got this game and my 7970M had issues with it till I installed the new pack - odd I know..

Strange, but the 5650 I've got an my travel laptop that I use at work when I'm working late and fancy a quick game - game worked fine..!! lol figure that out?
