so the wires i want to braid aren't for the pc ,

I recently bought a second hand LG surround set up and I'd like to braid the cables that connect from the receiver to the speaker them selves any idea's on what size braid and heat shrink i need?

Thanks

That rather depends on the size of the wiring you want to sleeve, or the size of connectors you have to thread over. Once you get that info maybe someone may be able to help.

The sizing is usually quite self explanatory. You have a shrink ratio e.g. 2:1 or 3:1 and then you have the un shrunk size (which has to be bigger than the size of wires/connectors) and then the shrunk size (which has got to be smaller).

As above, you need to know the size of what you want to sleeve first..

hahaha i should have asked how big's piece of string , there are no connectors on the wiring themselves the wire is 3mm wide and 1mm at it's thickest i'm guessing i can't use 3mm braid as it would be abit tight but the next size i can find is 6mm would that not make it feel "baggy" if that makes sense
