Sleeving Question!

Hi all,

I'm planning on sleeving my XFX Core 550W - it's not modular so I'm going to sleeve until im inside the psu, sort of how it's originally done here: http://content.hwigroup.net/images/products/xl/119308/3/xfx_pro_series_550w_core_edition.jpg

I wanted to know, im planning to shorten the PSU cables and it's inside the bitfenix prodigy, and planning to keep it in there - ignoring warranty etc - is it OK to shorten the leads just by cutting them and then re-pinning them with new 24pin/6pin/4pin etc. ?

In a word - Yes.

You'll need to make sure you have a good quality crimping tool/pins though - It can be night and day between an easy/good job and a difficult/bad job.

Head over to Overclock.net and look at the sleeving section, plenty of detail there on what parts to buy and methods.
