Hey guys.

I finished building my new rig last night, and it all went smooth apart from the second 1080 in my build is running the Error Code 43 in Device Manager. None of the EVGA software or Corsair Link is picking up the second card.

I've updated BIOs on the Motherboard, I've tried installing a few different drivers from EVGA, but had no luck.

Help appreciated

Can you please post full system specs?

Have you tried running the second card on it's own to rule out that it's not DOA & I am assuming your sli bridge is connected properly as well as the power

z170-A
i7 6700k
1080 EVGA FTW x2
h100i v2
16GB Vengeance DDR4
CX 750 Modular.

Not running any overclocks on either the GP or CPU.

I will swap the cards over in a second and let you know.

Just put the card that was playing up in to the PCI 1 slot and it ran fine.

Put the second card that was originally working fine into Slot 2 and it now has Error Code 43.

Also, I forgot to mention that the second card doesn't have the 8 pins in both sides of the power slot, it has an 8 pin and then a 6 pin on the other slot. It powers up with no problems so this can't be the root cause?

You need to try with both 8 pins connected, even if you use an Molex to 8 pin converter as an temporary solution.
