Sli 670 or 780

I have Sli 670's and a 780 arriving today. I really wanted a single card to drive my 1440p screen and happy to drop a bit of performance. Saying that I have been nothing but immpressed with 670 Sli it's a great setup...

Got one at the moment and been waiting a month so far for my evga upgrade to come through so will be getting 2nd 780

Could I ask you was it worth the move to 1 780 ?

As I'm thinking of the same then adding a second end off the year for BF4.

Also do you use a 2560x1440 res ?

Yes I would move upto a 780 as I noticed an improvement. Running the 1 card on middle monitor at 1920X1200 once second card arrives
I will be at 5760x1200

Most games scale pants on these cards, but the utimate goal is 780 sli as i dont want to go tri again had 470x3 and 670x3 as they noramlly beat 480/680 sli and about the same price when released. SLI just 2 cards is the sweet spot for me I've found on metro LL I have a smooth experiance with two cards than 3. 90% of the time there fine but when all of a sudden it goes to 40% across three cards for some unknown reason then back up. That really annoys me, when paying this amount for hardware.

No It works don't get me wrong but its like using crossfire. (I had a pair of 7970's before the 670's) The amount of work you have to do to get games to run smoothly just ruins it for me. two nvida cards have always worked with out problem for me and been smooth way to enjoy games.

That's weird. I have 3x GTX 670 and used to run them at 1920x1200 on my old screen and haven't had any issues at all. I went from 3x GTX 280-> 3x GTX 470-> 3x GTX 580-> 3x GTX 670. Some games scale better than others that is correct, but I have never really made specific SLi profiles - mostly just install and play.
After I went to 2560x1440 the scaling is even better now compared with running SLi. However I'd like to try out 3x GTX 680's so I'm searching for 2nd hand cards.

Woke up this morning to find lots and lots of gtx670/680's for sale on Irish buy and sell sites.
Super news for anyone like me looking to go sli 600 series.
Looking like Im going to pick up a 2nd 670 windforce for about £180-190.
Would have loved a mini Titan but way out of my price range.
Advice to anyone like me on a budget,go sli 600 or AMD xfire.

What classified sites are you on mate want a second windforce mate.
