ok just a question really, in the past everytime i format the c: and reinstall windows, after i install the gfx drivers and enable sli, it shuts off card 2, and all gfx go thru card 1 which is normal, today i installed windows, and installed latest nvidia drivers, enabled sli and its blanking card 1 and using card 2? anyone else experienced this at all?

You can select which monitor is used for SLI. By default its the 'primary monitor' however, its completely customisable. It could just be that Windows decided to make one of your secondary monitors the primary one 
Or the NV drivers have messed up the SLI display.
DW about it, just change the monitor SLI uses in the NV drivers.
