SLI 8600GT vs

Can anyone give me a feedback or point me in the direction of somewhere that could tell me how dual 8600GT's in sli would compare against a single 8800GT?

Badly.

SLi 8600GT's are slower than a single old style GTS by a good margin.

As the GT is faster than the old GTS, you can see its not a good idea.
