SLI 970 or 980Ti?

............. You get redundancy by having two cards in the event one fails, but I've always found the single more powerful card setup to be better in real terms. Keep an old 770 in a cupboard for redundancy & go for the 980Ti.
Single card also lets you consider SFF/iTX builds......

I'm currently running SLI 680's, would I see a good improvement with the 980Ti?

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the screen resolution and the rest of your system but generally speaking, the difference between the 2 solutions is rather sizeable.

A better way to approach this is to ask yourself, are there games that you are playing or would like to play, that don't run as well as you would like to see them running with what you have now. If the anwser is yes, proceed with the purchase. If the answer is no, then sit tight, as there are always newer and nicer things in the horizon.

I think I'll bite the bullet and go for it, games like GTA 5 and Ark are struggling to run on low/medium settings. Thank you for your help lads!

You might still want to wait for 1 more week, as the AMD launch will likely trigger a reshuffle of the prices of the excisting cards, even 980Ti depending on how the new products fare against it.

I second this. But it all depends how paranoid you are about possibly losing out. I for one, am terrified.
