sli a gtx1080ti

as you can see my specs from my signature , is there any benefit in getting another gtx1080ti and sli it and if so whats the benefit as im going to get vr very soon , or is it a waste , as im getting a high fps already and all settings on ultra , was just thinking if sli would make vr better

From what I've seen, depending on the game, it'll either have a positive, or none. Some report a negative effect. Google for others experience with it and the games you play.

SLi has gone pretty rubbish over the last year or so, but I'm not sure about VR? Don't nVidia have the tech to do one card per eye? That will prob help.

If your going pimax 8K X version, then yeah, needs dual Ti topower each 4k screen natively

Worth seeing if the games you play or plan to play support SLi or anyone that has experience with VR SLi, in theory should be easier to code/implement

1 other thing i have an 850 watt power supply would that be enough too to run all my things plus another 1080ti

i already get a lot of fps , what fps you getting then if its that much of a jump how much fps did you gain

nah this is foe realz, i got rid of my 2nd card coz some games on sli enabled got me less fps fall out 4 is one of them, I ended up going to the control panel to disable sli as some games were a nightmare, but others i got a better performance such as gtav and farcry primal, a few others too, never more than 20-25% increase, just wasnt worth it so I sold my 2nd card and got me peas back, maybe i might and sell my current x99 set up wid me 5930k and use de gpu money and by me a x299 set up, thinkng on it though

I use to browse this site daily and constantly look for upgrades and enhancements to my rig but now I just use what i got and spend me time on brazzers instead.
