Im currently running an sli gtx 470 setup on a single monitor, (24" benq fp241w, 1920x1200). As my second rig is borked, i have a spare monitor, (viewsonic 20" vx2025, 1680x1050). Can i hook this up and use it as a secondary display, whilst using sli. Not looking to use both screens for dual screen gaming, just handy to have the second screen for other apps/web pages open while im gaming on the main screen.

Should be fine, though i don't know if SLI makes a difference. I don't see why it would. Have to check with someone else to be sure
I do something similar with a single card, gaming on HDTV whilst browsing etc on my monitor.
Just right click/screen resolution/extend display. Works fine for me. Oh and change audio to output where you want it to.

With current Nvidia drivers you can indeed run two monitors on an SLI arrangement without any issue (as you probably know this wasn't the case for a long time).

Thanks mate, i remember with my early sli setups, (6800gt/7900gt) sli and dual screen wasnt possible. I suppose the cards will run a bit hotter at idle with dual screens, they currently sit at 36c each, clocked at 750mhz?
