Hello.

I've got 2 x 1070's (Zotac AMP! & Gigabyte G1)

I only have the ribbon style SLI bridge, i know this runs slower. I game at 4k/60hz, how does the old vs new HB bridges impact performance?

i watched this video which showed results varied vastly in only 3 games however at the end he says using 2 x SLI bridges gave the same performance as a HB bridge - anyone here tried this ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWcsaociTjE

the cards will have to transfer some of there data over the pci-e to each other which will add some latency I believe I might be wrong and of course a very small fps cost as well from what I have read / seen

I would say that tests have varied significantly but as a general rule use the HB Bridges for 1440p and above. 4k I would recommend it to cope with the increased bandwidth required.

End of the day if you spend something like £800 on GPUs spend £30 on the new bridge.
