Recently purchased a second 770GTX to hopefully enjoy SLi, sadly not and i get the feeling i'm missing something very simpole or it's something i just don't know about.

I'v tried:
• Different bridge cables
• Pulling the cables out a small bit
• Swapping which card is in which port
• Looking for buttons on the mobo to enable it
• Checked BIOS
• Tried HyperSLi (Unsupported Processor)
• Reinstalled Graphics Drivers
• Reinstalled Graphics Drivers 1 by 1
• Trolled through loads of forum threads including 5 pages in the graphics section here here...

At wits end with a headache now, hopefully someone can help!

Setup:

NZXT Hale Power 90+ 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
Gainward GeForce GTX 770 x 2
Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW)
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U26661104G-2CI) - Blue Light
AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (4Ghz)

No overclocks

Someone save my brain from hurting =[

On some of those boards SLI will only be supported on certain combinations of PCI-e sockets i.e. just as an example only with the cards in slots 1 and 3.

Everything is as far as up to date it can be - Jumpped on laptop and taken the cards out, i physically can't put them in 1/3 or 2/4 due to space. I have 5 slots in total, any recommendations?

I'v never SLi'd before so no clue what im doing :D

In order of the slots top to bottom 1 - 5

1: PCIEx16_1

2: PCIEx4_1

3: PCIEx16_2

4: PCIEx4_2

5: PCIEx8

This is according to the manual, what are the technicalities on that? I'v had them in at slots 1 and 4

Wouldnt expect to see much if any gain from using 16/16 over 16/8, though if you do go water and move them to slots 1+3 you'll free up more of your boards slots :)
