SLI & Crossfire

as chaparral said there are games with SLI option, I play COD2 and that has a
SLI option and when it is on there is a big difference in graphic quality and much faster FPS.
I am a bit miffed off that I missed out on the ATI 2900 also missed out on the 8000 series buy a couple of months but as my MB is SLI I would have gone for an 8800 card and then when the prices come down I would have invested in an other 8800 to SLI them.
But I still wonder what will be out in 6 to 8 months from now the graphic manufactures have to keeps on improving all the time or they go out of Business.
Also graphic cards now dictate to an extent as to which motherboard to get do I go SLI or Crossfire
And you could say the same of motherboards the way they are improving and changing
From AGP to 16E how much long will PCI stay with us will they go from 32bit to 64bit
It seems at the moment there are so many different technologies, it know wonder that non PC literate people have a hard time choosing what to spend there money on, especially when they go shopping for stuff in a particular PC store where the sales people really try hard to fill customers with crap and distorted information. Sorry went right of track then. Any how with D10 cards are now on sale, what comes after D10 will it be D11 that will only work on the new cards as D10 is doing know.
