With AMD and Intel both heavily investing in dual and probably quad core technology.
How come ATI and nVidia are promoting the cross fire and sli options?
Surely it would make sense for them to staty selling dual core GPU's?
For a start it would free up a lot of space, rather than have two gpu's, just one would be needed.
With dual core GPU's surely there would reduced latency then with seperate cards.
Perhaps this might be the case, considering AMD have bought ATI.
mmmm, two dual core X1900XT's.
Now thats power!!
