Hi guys how are you?

I have a simple question

I bought 2 GTX 980 using at SLI, is there any software that shows me if it`s running at 16x16 or 16/8?

I think it`s running 16/16, take a look at my GPU-Z Screen:

Do you guys recommend other softwares to monitor this?

The mobo is a GA-Z87X-OC Force

Thanks

Expansion Slots
- 3 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16 (PCIEX16_1~3)
- * For optimum performance, if only one expansion card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16_2 slot.
- 2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x8 (PCIEX8_1~2)
- * The PCIEX8_1 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16_1 slot and the PCIEX8_2 slot with PCIEX16_3. The PCIEX16_1/PCIEX16_3 slot will operate at up to x8 mode when the PCIEX8_1/PCIEX8_2 is populated.
- (The PCIEX16 and PCIEX8 slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
- * The PCIEX16_2 slot will become unavailable when an expansion card is installed in the orange PCI Express x16 slot.
- 2 x PCI Express x1 slots
- (The PCI Express x1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)

Click the question mark next to bus interface and run in full screen, this will tell you what speed and gen your slots are running at :)

I wouldn't worry even if it was 8x/8x

I broke a world record last week running 8x 8x 8x

That's how much different it makes. Nothing. Aslong as you're GEN 3.0 there is plenty enough bandwidth.

It uses a PLX chip so dual cards should be 16x/16x.

1x card 16x
2x cards 16x/16x
3x cards 16x/8x/8x
4x cards 8x/8x/8x/8x

You can see it here about 2/3 down the page.
