Hi all,
Trying to SLI (2X) gtx550 TI cards. They are different brands, but same amount of memory - I only bought the second card because the Nvidia site said it would still work if I tried to use SLI. The Nvidia control panel does not show the enable function unless I install "coolbits", and when I try to enable after installing coolbits - I just get a black screen. I tried swapping the cards around and it seemed to get a little further - instead of the black screen it just takes about a minute to attempt the "enable" and then lowers the resolution but doesn't enable SLI. After that, the device manager comes up with an error code 43 on one of the cards.
I looked at some other forums which said to uninstall Realtek LAN drivers/disable - mine are intel but tried it anyway, no luck. Another forum said to flash the graphics card's BIOS - I've never tried it before but I thought I'd ask here first
I installed GPU-Z and the BIOS are different on each card. I also noticed that the memory buswidth and bandwidth are different.
So do you think the BIOS flash is worth a try - I'd have to look it up, but i just thought it sounded a little extreme?
