Hi guys

Have a few quid left over and was wondering about purchasing another EVGA GTX 680 to run in SLI mode?

Play BF3, online FPS, COD BO2, Skyrim, etc

Would I notice much difference for the extra £400.00?

Ahhh I didn't see it first time and I did look. For 120Hz, I would say yes but only if you feel it is worth the money. I went from single screen, single card to multi screen to SLI and that was a neccesity. Not so much with one screen though.

Its in his sig

Me too and I didn't see it either. There was also the possibility it was wrong or being upgraded, so shut up Scotty :D

Not worth it at 1920x1080 mate but it may be about epeen haha

I'd say so, it'd allow you to hit 120fps on BF3 I should think.

Whether that's worth another £400 is up to you.

If you play with vsync off or adapative vsync and do serious FPS gaming then being able to get say 100fps average in games instead of 50-60fps will give noticeable results on a 120Hz panel for many people. You don't need to be hitting 120fps or even close to it constantly tho to get the advantages a 120Hz panel brings.

Hi again guys

So the general consensus is, even with a single 120Htz Montior that I would benefit mainly in FPS in online gaming?

If so, Ill get another

Not really seen anything of multi-monitor set-ups, but the monitor edging (plastic space) between monitors would really put me off getting 3 monitors

After a few hours gaming you don't notice the bezels(plastic space) :)

I would keep an open mind about it; try it and the decide if it's worth the difference before keeping it. If you order from here you've got 14 days to choose.

For me personally I would rather have a second card than drop settings but there's a strong argument to be made for the other side (i.e. dropping settings).

True for some people but not others, I can play some games i.e. racing games without the bezels bothering me but other games like FPS games they are really really distracting even after quite a bit of use.

I no longer notice the bezels and they are quite big on my screens. It is a personal thing though and each of us are different.

I've never understood the issue. You see exactly the same as you'd see if you had one monitor on the middle screen, and just additional info on either side.
