SLI - GTS250

Would it be worth getting another gts250 and putting it in SLI or waiting a lot longer (Q4-2010) and getting a 5850?

That's an interesting proposition actually, SLI'd 250s can beat a GTX 285, which i'd assume is almost on par with the 5850.

What's your motherboard? If you don't mind about the added power and lack of DX11 then i'd say go for it.

As ever, depends what res you game at - if its high and you've got a 512mb GTS250 it may not be worth it.

Two 1gb ones of them, overclocked, would be pretty powerful, although not quite in the same league as a 5850.

Guess you could get a GTS for around 90 now though so def the cheaper option.

i agree, especially the gts 250 are quite good overclockers. the 1gb version in sli should be more than a match for a stock (or even slightly oced) hd5850
