hey guys,

im in progress of ordering my new build and im looking for some info on which of these two choices i should go for

1) single GTX 470 and overclock
2) SLI GTX 460's and overclock

i am using 1 monitor at the moment at 1600x1200 and will be inversting in another in about 2-3 months time

also if i go 3 monitors how will these cards hold up ???

i have a feeling the 470 will struggle a lot with 3 monitors but should be albe to live with 2

i will be using this mobo

or shall i pay the extra for this one ???

what are your guys thoughts ???

oh my bad i thought you can sorry lol

anyway in performance wise 2 gtx460s overclocked or a single gtx470 overclocked on two monitors, i think this is abit or a silly question as two gtx460's with two monitors is going to be a lot better then a single gtx470

am i correct ???

Gigabyte GTX460 SOC 1GB can be had for £154 and is a massive steal at the price. Get two of them and that MSI P55-GD80 board (a great one, mind you), you're sorted for life lol.

Just to let you know, Radeon 6950 is just around the corner, should easily fall in £259-279 price range and would probably offer similar or slightly worse performance. Nonetheless, Gigabyte SOC cards are awesome.

ok cheers guys :)

i was just looking at the 470's and im thinking to get 1 470 and another about 2 months later

good choice or stay with the 460's ???
