Hi Folks,

I am putting my new set up through it's paces and am currently overclocking my graphics cards.

My current settings are

core:730 , shader:1555, memory:1250

for both cards.

I haven't stopped pushing them yet however one problem I have is with the shader. As soon as I push it up anymore and run 3dmark06 I get an error and a bubble message saying that an error occured with my drivers and they have had to be restarted.

Is this a problem with the my drivers or have I just found the limit for the shader? My current drivers are 190.38, am running vista home premium and the rest of my spec is

i7 920 @ 4.1
6gm corsair ram
asus P6T deluxe
corsair 850w PSU
2 x BFG Gtx275 OC cards.

I am currently at 24500 3dmarks with these settings, it'd be a shame not to go for 25k :-)

I think these are the latest official release so I don't want to try rolling back. I just wanted to see if anyone else has the same issue as me.

Hi

From looking at reviews of gtx 275 id say you have hit the wall with the shader clocks. There is a review of a bfg 275 gtx oc at guru3d.com and they got the shader to 1535 and also said typically on gtx 275s you get around the 1500 on the shader.

I don't mind hitting the wall, it just seemed a bit lower than how high I can push the memory/ core.

The cards are both BFG gtx275 OC cards

The shader and core speed are linked. If you run them out of kilter things can start to get slower.

You need more voltage and/or better cooling.
