I was wondering if anyone knew how to choose which GPU in an SLI conifguration will be the Primary one?

I was wondering if this something that can only be done in BIOS or if it can be done from the Nvidia Contorl Panel or a Windows menu....

Thanks in advance! :)

The primary GPU is the card in the (first) primary slot on the motherboard, afaik this is set in stone.

What is it you are trying to achieve? I'm guessing it's running SLI but having the primary somewhere further down the board?

Basically, I want an easy way to test the second card in my SLI rig, just for the purposes of benchmarking against my first one (which is an OC version).

I don't think you can do it unfortunately, some of the high end boards let you turn slots off but I don't know of any that'll allow you to change the primary, might be worth a look in the bios though, you might be able to switch it there and disconnect the power plugs on the primary card.
