Sli improvements

Does Sli give improvements to older games, or Is it just for games that are designed for SLi. The game i am thinking of is Silent Hunter 5, where i could do with an increase in FPS

From the very little I've just searched for it I've seen that people have asked but there has been no replies regarding this game. If you want more frames per second then you'd have to buy a single more powerful card but before even considering it, first consider if it would be worth it for just one game?.

You can enable it on a per-game basis in the control panel can't you?

Silent Hunter 5 isn't that old though I thought.

I know i can enable it from the control panel(if i get another card) What i was trying to find out if there was likely to be any improvement.

I can't help you as I don't own an Nvidia card at the moment and I don't have any interest in the game. Sorry.

You can up the AA to 64xaa and 16xSSAA with SLI!

Silent Hunter III has an SLI profile but can't see one for 5... not sure if it just works with default settings or if its possible to make your own profile.
