hi

have at present a Sugo01 with a Quad core and an 8800gt installed but was wondering whether this case could cope with SLI and if so which decent matx sli board should I get?

If the Sugo is'nt considered to be good enough to cool is there a more suitable matx case?

Many thanks

There is one microATX SLi board available.

It's Socket 939 Athlon 64.

It works in 8x 8x configuration in SLi as well.

I've seen people run 8800s on it but the CPU would be a huge bottleneck unless you somehow managed to squeeze water cooling in and overclock the CPU a load. Also heat would be an issue, especially with 8800GTs that don't exhaust the air.

There was mention on Fudzilla of DFI making a SLI and Crossfire micro-ATX board. If there was any truth to it.

As say have a quad core so looking for a good 775 matx SLI motherboard....

There aren't any S775 mATX SLi boards, go read Tute's post again ;).

There are always rumours about new mATX SLi boards but nothing has been released so far.

The EVGA S939 board Tute is talking about sold in double digits in the UK and hasn't been in production for over 2 years, so good luck even finding one of those.

There is no market for this type of board. That's why no-one is producing them. The closest thing in production currently is the X38 Shuttle which does run true 2 x 16x PCIe Crossfire, so that's probably your best bet.

And even that's a bit "questionable", as it'll only take a pair of single slot cards - so you can't go faster than a pair of 3850 Pros.

I had one of them EVGA 131-K8-NF44-AX and i wouldnt bother finding one unless you have a fx60 or opteron 185 lying round as mine bit the dust at anything over 209 fsb. Just buy a 3870x2 or wait for the gx2.

ooooooooooh SG03 looks a sweet case, got any pics, i know theres some on silverstones website etc but id love to see some with components installed :)

I've built 3 so far and they all look like a right dogs breakfast inside with components installed.

Yeah it's very difficult to cable tidy in an SG03.

I found that the SG01 Evolution was good for cable tidying, it's easy to route everything around the motherboard.

considering a sg01, what heatsink is the best for s775 in this? ive read it can be no taller than 78mm...

Some of the Zalman 120mm flower type coolers will work, check the individual specifications for which ones.

The NT06 is also a good cooler in the Sugo, it's passive and uses the PSU fan for airflow.

yeah i read that, means you have to get a psu with fan on bottom, not a problem i guess

Not quite correct. The sapphire 3870 Atomic is single slot. Performs well out of the box with its bumped clocks, two of them would be nice.
