Ok I am thinking of a major upgrade when the 9800 gtx comes out and also going SLI'ed so I have a few questions:
1. Is the V-sync and triple buffer problem sorted (I realise this can only be applied to the 8x00 series at the mo)?

2. Space, if I have two normal PCI slots beneath the secondary card how much space is there? I am going to watercool the cards and the blocks need a 40 mm clearance, since I am considering getting a PCI X-fi sound card, would it fit? (BTW there would be no further room below the motherboard.)

Thanks.

SLI is waste of time IMO and others, 1x 9800 will be good enough.
I am hoping so :)
I doubt crysis will run above a constant +75 fps @ 1600x1200, or any other dx10 uber game that comes out soon! As I say I hope I am wrong!

So turn of V-Sync you wont get tearing, Ive never seen it in 7years.

I game at 1600x1200 100hz on a CRT.

Your eyes cant see more than 60FPS not same as 60HZ.

If I can tag another question onto this one, to sli two graphics cards do they have to be exactly the same? ie. the same manufacturer or can they just be the same spec, eg 2 different makes of 320mb 8800 gts?

Originally they had be same brand/model and bios.

Now you can have 2 diff brands, bios and even models, if one has less memory you run with that memory, as you may know 2x 512MB cards do not give 1024MB is SLI, if you link a 512MB card with a 256MB card you get 256MB.

Thanks for that explanation.
