Evening ...

I've got two Gigabyte ghz edition GTX 780's sat here and I've been playing with them both in SLI and singular .. I run my PC on two different displays, both of which run no more than 1080, I was thinking (as most people say) that it's overkill.

However, I love everything on high. Problem is if I'm paying a premium price for a GPU then why should I put up with games like Tomb Raider dipping into mid 40's and GPU running near 90% most of the time to keep it vsyncd at 60 !? .. Do we really have to SLI all the time !?

Basically I'm considering buying a PS4 to accompany my sole gtx 780 system to have the best of both worlds ... Funding this by selling one if the 780's .. I'm just not sure if it's a good move ?

(Bit of a rant, but after thoughts please)

PS4 may be more valuable to you than having an extra 780 which isn't really needed that much at 1080p. If the exclusives that the PS4 has appeal to you then it's a good balance of having one very decent single GPU for 1080p and a PS4 that you could keep for years.

something is wrong with your system if you have SLI 780's and seeing 40fps at 1080p..

What CPU do you have? Might be some major bottlenecking going on here.

FWIW I don't see under 60 ever (unless you count 59, since it sometimes shows that when using vsync :p:p) and I also run at 1080p.
