Hi, this might be a noob question. But I would like to know which type of rendering mode did you guys find to work best on most games?

Split Frame
Alternate 1
Alternate 2

many thanks.

AFR (in either form) works the best... off the top of my head I think 2/3rds of games that support AFR as the best SLI mode work best with AFR1.

Split Frame doesn't give as good gains as it splits each individual game frame between the 2 GPUs and the game frame is never uniformly busy all over, usually the top half goes to one (which is often just the sky and a few odds and ends in your average 3D game) and the bottom half to the other, which is normally the busier half - specially if the game uses a 3D hud and has a detailed weapon model... SFR usually gives gains of 1.2-1.6x whereas AFR will typically give much closer to 2x.

I don't force one or other mode globally - this would be very detrimental as some games will only run at like 2-12fps in the wrong SLI mode - I leave it to the game profiles to trigger the correct mode - tweaking the profiles with nHancer when required.
