Guys,

a friend has just bought:
Asus P5NE (sli model)
E7200
2GB ram

to replace his broken S939 with ATI X1650 pro.

I was going to give him my old 7900gs thinking he might buy another 2nd hand one and sli them.

However he told me he plays (or played) COD4 on his old S939 rig on his 42" plasma and says it looks great.
Surely can't be at a res that you'd call high. So i'm guessing he's easily pleased.

So, do you think sli'ing 2x7900gs would be ok for his 42" gaming needs?
Any other suggestions?

Cheers :)

hang on, if his 42" is 720p then it will play his game really well as his gaming resolution would be what, 720x1366? even on his old 1650 pro?

I always get confused when it comes to gaming on monitors v tv's.

i got a single 7900GTX and am able to play my games on my 42" tft tv not that i do it very often.
the resoloution is 1366x768 and im able to play cod4 and even crisis at that res ok
it only struggles with games if i connect it via my DVI to HDMI cable then the res is 1920 x 1080i
so the card you are going to give your freind should be fine.
