Hi guy's just after a bit of advice. I'm not sure wether to add a second BFG 8800 gts and run it sli mode or add another 2 gig of ram. Which will give me the gains in gaming and photo shop?
p.s still running on XP

Well you won't see all of the 4gb in XP (assuming you want to chuck in an extra 2gb) so I'd call that one a no go as you'll probably get around 3.5gb or so showing as a rough guess.

That leaves SLi which I'm generally not a fan of unless you have lots of money and a huge screen. You also need a decent PSU for it. :)

I use a phillips 200w 20" running at 1680 x 1050. It's just that memory has got so cheap now, even compaired to xmas when I bought my pc. I was looking at an extra pair of Corsair 6400 c4 sticks as there now £116 instead of the £200 I paid in jan. I might well go to Vista when they got all the drivers sorted out.

If you're going to Vista, I'd get the extra RAM. Then your next upgrade can be a single better graphics card later :)

For a screen that size its pretty much a waste of money to go SLi if i was you i would keep my money back and wait so you can upgrade to the next best thing. Does that rig actully make anything run slow? Seems pretty pointless upgrading.
