SLI Order - Is this normal?

Hi guys,

I have a Godlike Carbon X99 motherboard that currently has 2 x Titan X (Pascal) shoved in it. Prior to this, it had 3 x MSI Gaming X 1080's in it under water.

My question is this.

My primary card (closest to the CPU) always shows as second in my current setup and showed as 3rd in my previous 3 way setup - when it should always show as first. Is this likely to cause me any issues? Could this mean that the board needs RMA'ing as its on its way out?

Has anyone else had an issue like this?

Cheers
Ras

Where does it show up as the 3rd card?
Which GPU is your monitor connected to?
What does the MB user manual say about SLI setups?

More importantly..
Is SLI working properly?
Do you get to see the boot screens, and can you see the BIOS pages?
If the above are true, why worry?

Could be that this particular PCIe lane is going through a different area of the board, so shows out of sequence. Honestly though, don't worry about it :p

ps nice rig

Ok answers in order:

Monitor(s) are connected to the GPU in PCIE_1 (closest to the CPU) denoted as (2) by the nvidia control panel.

PCIE_1 and PCIE_4 are optimal for 2 way SLI setups.

SLI appears to be working fine.
Machine boots and works as normal.

I am concerned as it may be a symptom of either a GPU or a mobo issue that could lead to a bigger problem down the road.... Just wanted to see what you guys thought!

Cheers

There's no problem, don't worry about it.
