SLi Problems, Split frame rendering (SLi Users plz help)

Hi guys need some help from SLi users here.

Got 2 6800 ultras with Sli bridge on, got 93.81 drivers (had 93.71).

Now i heard the Global settings get over rided when a game that has a nvidia profile for sli.

the problem is i cannot use Split frame rendering(PC locks up) on games that have nvidia profile or even games that are not listed.

I was trying to run NFSCarbon demo with SFR , just locks up like hl2/css/pes6.
AFR works fine.

The auto SLI setting makes pc lock up in games.

also was testing sof2 i think its auto set by nvidia profile to SFR and guess what? it locks up.

Is this a driver issue or one of my cards not doing its job?

3D06 looks about right for a pair of 6800 ultra's. As for your problem, have you tried 91.47. I had problems with 93.xx drivers and rolled back to 91.47 and the problem was gone. 93.xx made the pc crash for some reason and had horrible sli performance.

I'm using 91.47's aswell for my GX2 as the 93's were terrible for sli!

Give it a go and let us know how you get on!

i accidently deleted 45Gb of data, music,vids,games,pics etc

trying to sort that out 1st.

installed the drivers but SFR does not work.

can one of you try and set SFR on a game and see if it works?

For selecting SLi types i use nHancer. Allows you to select Single (for games that don't work with SLi), SFR, AFR (type 1&2) and Auto.

Give that a try!

Ok will try that once i get the BSOD sorted.

I switched the cards around and no when i tick SLI i get BSOD with NV4 something but its all messed up so i can not read it. Any ideas?

One card is Nvidia Reference 425 clock
Other XFX 425 clock.


since the swap i have tested the Nvidia card and works fine.

switch the cards back and it works fine (strange or what) but in the process i must have messed up the Nvidia 6800 ultra's fan. temps way high and got lock up with messed up screen.

need to replace the fan, saw one on auction but its gone now.

any ideas where i can get just the fan part?

another vote here for 91.47 drivers and nhancer although you will get a slight cpu performance hit useing it .
have you tried a fresh install of windows to see if that helps ?
sounds like your registry is a bit messed up ?

fan now working hopefully it will continue.

the plan was get everything working and install my Vista Business fresh and keep XP for games till drivers are sorted

I'm using the new beta drivers now got 14points more on 3dmark 06 5414.

Gonna try the nhancer now


edit, just tested sof2 which uses SFR and its workin. i have changed the way Bridge is facing , i had it like the pic that came with mobo
