SLI Question different connectors work differently?

I'm looking into problems with my 2 cards, (noise issue mainly) but found this to.

i noticed one of the SLI Bridges on the back of my cards do not work when it games the colors are wrong like the connect is lose (bit like very low bitrate video) should both connects work with only 2 way SLI?

is this correct behavior?
