Sli Question?

My rig: q6600 2.4ghz
p5n32-e sli plus
4gb 800mhz ram
8800gts (g92) 512mb
580w hiper psu

Looking to improve performance on dx10 games, thinking sli

Questions:
- Will my pc bottleneck any sli?
- and what card can i sli with (with current)?
- is it better to either sli with current card or buy a newer card?
- planing on getting a i7 sometime next year shall i wait?

If youre wanting improved performance Id recomend OC your CPU to 3GHz, this should be quite an easy OC on this chip and buy a new gfx card, a 260 or 285 if you can afford it, dont worry about SLI'ing as this wouldnt work with these cards afaik(being different series'), youd have to get another 8800 which isnt really economical if youre going for a new system later in the year. If you get a 260/285 you can transfer that card to your new system later in the year, maybe add another to SLI them at that time. You may also need a new PSU, dont know what the connectors on that one are, and I wouldnt want to run SLI off of it thats for certain
So OC and buy a new gfx card
