SLi Really Worth It?

Hi Guys,

Basically says it in the title, my 480 handles everything i throw at it at 1920x1080 but im just wondering is it worth me throwing another 480 in to increase performance for future proofing or not?

what mobo have you got?.
what psu have you got?, if its anything under 750w you would need to upgrade that too.
i would w8 until the next set of cards come out tbh.
gaming at 1080 with 2 480 is a overkill.

By taken mobo pcie spacing and psu into consideration as stated above, if your income can afford the tradeoff of being able to max out in Metro 2033, Shogun 2, The Witcher 2 before the 28nm node, then it is worth it.

Why not wait until you start seeing games struggle, at which point the second hand market should have much better prices on 480... Grab a bargain then.

yeah this is one of those 'I dont need it, but I need to scratch the itch' decisions to make mate. Ride it out and it will go away

Yep, as said, if you're happy with the performance then leave it, or look at something else that you could spend the money on.
