Hi guys I finished my upgrades today got everything hooked up and wasn't getting the option to sli even tho it recognised both cards. Doing some digging I found out that on my mobo the z97 s-oc force for 2 cards you use orange slots 1 and 3 as slot 2 is only pciex16_4. This means I need to buy a longer waterblock link. Before I order anything I just want to check I'm buying the right part.
I currently have the 2 slot xspc razor sli flow bridge and In between the slot where it is now is a black PCI slot and then the pciex16_8 slot it's going in so am I right in thinking I need the 4 slot sli flow bridge.
I should've realised something was up as the 2 way illuminating evga sli connector was spaced where I should have the bottom card so I bought a 3 way bridge as the spacing was for the first 3 slots. Luckily I can use it still as its 2/3 way.
