Should I be expecting similar temps on my gfx cards if theyre in SLI or does the load not get spread evenly?

Depends a lot on airflow, and the top card is used for desktop, etc. so is working more generally. Top card is also often near the northbridge which can pump out a lot of heat (less of an issue on i7 setups).

Over 10deg C? :|

Only time I get the temps to match is if I manually set the fan on the top card to 100% constant and when Im on my desktop lol

Slot spacing on the motherboard helps as well, my two cards had a difference of 10c as well when first installed. Cured this by hanging a 120mm fan behind them, theyre now sitting 1c apart, (32-31), fan on the topmost card is at 1800 rpm, bottom card at 2100 rpm, auto fan setting.

Well one card is newer than the other and the older one is the one with the higher temps so I might give it a good blowout with some canned air.
