Hi guys, I've been doing some googling around and fiddling with my Eyefinity setup. So I've found that with AMD cards you can only plug all monitor connections to the primary card only.

I have also found this in regards to Nvidia cards: http://www.geforce.com/optimize/guides/how-to-correctly-configure-geforce-gtx-680-surround#1

From what I can see with Nvidia cards, I can split my monitor connections between 2 cards. Is there any people that have any user posts or solid evidence of this? Because I would like to use 2x DP and 1 DL-DVI for my surround setup once I switch to Nvidia.

I don't understand your question.

Me and greg + others run SLI nvidia cards with 3d surround capability.

You need to have 2 monitors plugged into the dvi ports on the master gpu, then the third plugged into one of the dvi ports on the slave gpu. the DP, unused dvi and hdmi on the slave are unusable, the hdmi and DP on the master card are usable for 1 accessory display.

That's for 3dvsurround.

for 2d i think you can use the DP/hdmi on the master card, not sure but it's all on the page under 2 way sli configs

with ATI cards you can only use the MAster GPU for eyefinity gaming where as nvidia website states that you can use both cards. I just wanted some user experiences to confirm that it works thats all.

I basically want to use 2 DP (1 on each card) and a D-DVI on the master card.
