SLI with 2X 7800GT, friend needs help.

my firends built his new pc, opty 150, dfi deluxe, 2 gig mushkin redline, 2X 7800GTX. but for some reason his screen is slightly blurry above 1024X768 on the desktop view regardless of the refresh frequency and even though it says sli enabled he is only benching 8K ish on 3dmark05 he has set the pcie buses to 8X for both by the way,


any ideas? or links to sli setup checklists and info?

What monitor is he using? I presume it's drivers are installed?

well hes solved the monitor problem, but the performance is still terrible,

Have you checked that anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering are set to application preference? Mobo drivers installed?

btw what was up with the monitor?

anti aliasing would account for only scoring 8K @ 1024X768 on 3do5 not sure what he did to fix the monitor, i think he changed his switch (hes running muliple monitors through a switch)

Went running 3dmark 05..he needs to choose the 3dmark 05 profile in the nvidia display control panel.

I take it in the Nvidia settings panel where the AA and AF are found that 'Multi GPU rendering' is enabled.

If it is set to single gpu rendering then one of the cards is asleep.

There should be a little card that slots into the side of the primary PCI-e Slot, this may need reversing to enable SLi mode. 8k is about right for a single 7800GTX.
