SLI with different revisions

Yes you can, you can use different models of 460 entirely and they will work fine
(even cards with different clocks or VRAM can be used together they just default to the lowest of the 2)

I always thought this but got called out on it, apparently it doesnt work when they have different amounts of VRAM.

To answer OP's query tho, 1.0 and 2.0 will work fine. Probably just slightly different coolers to justify different revision.

I believe if you use a GTX 580 1.5GB and a GTX 580 3GB then it will work fine but only use 1.5GB.

However, I'd imagine you can't use a GTX 460 1GB with a GTX 460 768MB because these are different cards in more fundamental ways.

Yes it should be fine. Just with SLI, always do your research, as you dont want a £170 Phyx Card sitting in your system :P
