What slicers are you guys using, I've always used Cura, simply because its what the guy at work used..

However I've recently started playing with Orca as its what the AnyCubic I'll be getting at some point is based on that, I've just printed the Storm Trooper out, and even on the same printer, it seems to be significantly better printed out sliced from Orca than it was printed from Cura..

Anyone else found this?

I'll be using a Kobra S1, so will probably be using the Anycubic version of Orca for a while at least, until its been out a bit longer and there are proper profiles for other printers.

Yeah same, especally when they change standard settings or hide features which it looks like AnyCubic might have done with both the slicer and the OS on the printer...

Yeah the AnyCubic Slicer is Orca based, I'm still thinking about changing from their own slicer to proper Orca but not sure how much I'm missing feature wise, especially as the printer is running KobraOS rather than full Klipper..

I'm probably going to go down the Rinkles/Orca route, I don't really need the cloud based stuff so LAN mode with proper Klipper and Orca is deffo on my list, maybe next weekend tho, got stuff to do this weekend..

Wastage, depends what you are printing, you can adjust the flush volume multiplier or whatever they call it, but its something that requires testing and working out what setting for each filament, even then, you are going to get wastage, there is nothing you can do about that other than buy a PrusaXL....
