Hi all,
I'll keep this very brief, but I was having a natter with a couple of friends the other day who told me that Photoshop slicing and coding to HTML and CSS is a skill very much in demand these days and can earn you a reasonable amount on an ad hoc basis (without too much of a time commitment... very important)
I'm looking to do this to part-help the finances during the next year (about to start yr2 of web design degree) and was wondering whether any web devs/designers here in OcLand ever out-source for this kind of work, and whether you use agencies/online resources for these kind of jobs.
I have done a few so far on personal/private projects and have a reasonable knowledge of xhtml and css with a minor amount of javascript (we are moving onto the latter, Ajax, PHP, SQL in greater detail this next year).
The prospect of paid commercial work is challenging because of the need to maintain a professional standard, but a necessary one to keep the skills sharpened.
Would love to hear any opinions/thoughts/insider knowledge from you guys....many thanks in advance
