I have some shots I'd like to put into a slideshow & burn it to DVD with custom background music, custom title screens etc.

I have 2 questions...

1. What is the best software to do this?

2. What is the best FREE software to do this?

i think movie maker can do this

The one bundled with windows you mean? I had a look at Windows DVD ,aker but it didn't look great.

movie maker i think is an add on now, you have find it and download it
