Slideshow Software

I'm looking to make a few picture slideshows with some background music and was wandering what software people use to do these? I've tried a few of the freebies that come back for a google search and they all seem ok but I was hoping for some recomendations from people. I don't mind spending a small amount if the features of a particular application justify it but I don't want anything that costs the earth.

I'm a windows user before anyone suggests some brilliant MAC only tool!

do you have lightroom ?

i just tried last night for the first time to make a slideshow and it works very well

I've never actually used lightroom, I've often thought I should as people rave about it and it doesn't seem to be as expensive as I expected so I might download the trial.

Any other suggestions?

What a thread revival!

It seems diddy-e is a very occasional spam bot for a slideshow company!

If anyone is interested in a real answer I eventually went for ProShow Gold as it's really easy to use but pretty powerful as well and it was reasonably priced!

I've done a few slideshows with it after parties and holidays most of which aren't online but this one is on youtube from the Polaroids at our wedding in 2012 not my best but it shows off the shots well!
