Looking for the most slient Fans With High CFM for case fans (120mm)

Currently using:
2x Fractal Design @ 15DB 1000RPM 38,3 CFM,
3x Antec Tri-Cool @ 27DB 1430RPM 53CFM

anything as quiet as the fractel with roughly or more cfm?

No such thing as silent and high cfm. The quietest noise/rpm ratio fans are the be quiet silent wings 2. Also completely ignore dba and cfm ratings.

There's also the Corsair AF120's I got some in my case and they're brilliant but the Be Quiet silent wings 2's are meant to be great.

im looking for low noise mainly but with good airflow. would rather quietier over cfm though.

Then the silent wings 2. They are easily the quietest fans around but also very expensive.

Don't know what case you have but have you considered using PWM fans on the case and controlling the with CPU and/or GPU PWM signal?.. or getting one of the PWM signal control splitters that Tealc makes that work on voltage controlled 3pin fans?

Works very nice. Fans slow down when system doesn't need the extra airflow and speed up as load/demand increases. My R2 has 2x TY-140 front and 1 bottom intakes controlled this way. 660-700rpm / 24-28c idle and ramp up to a max of 1050rpm / 41-47c @ 100% load. i7 980 stock settings.

I replaced my fractals on the r3 with the Noctua S12-A FLX using the LNA adapter and the system is much quieter. Currently using 2 at the front and 1 at the back.

I should have said I modded my case to accept 140mm fans with 120mm fan mounts. On R2 I had to remove HDD cage but R3 has removable HDD cage so should be able to slip fans in. All I did was make a new front panel that fits behind the plastic grill/door with 140mm holes matching the square holes in original case. The new panel has mounting holes in the corners and use longish fan mount screws to secure fan. I put Silverstone magnetic filters on the front of fans.

Had Akasa FN-053 fans before; temps dropped 5c with TY-140 fans and its much quieter.

Edit: Sorry. I'm hijacking too if you don't have an R2/R3 case.

can you fit 140mm fans?

because some 140mm fans have almost double of cfm than the same 120mm model have.

None of the fans listed above will offer an improvement over the fractal ones. Most of them are loud high rpm fans with cheap bearings.

Like I said if you're after quietness the only route is the be quiet silent wings 2. Here's a comparison comparing it to a noctua fan. Notice how its much quieter even though it has higher rpm.
